Compressor Sales, Servicing and Repair Airless Paint Sprayer Sales, Service and Repair | Vapour BlastingPrepping a surface can be challenging and time-consuming, especially if you are removing layers of paint or other coating products that have been there for decades. Grinding, scraping, applying heat, and using chemicals are hard work because the same binders that cause paint to adhere also make it hard to remove. Vapour blasting is a process using water vapour and a variety of media (eg garnet, soda, walnut shells, crushed glass) to restore or clean anything metal, some timbers, road markings, bricks, art deco furniture, ornamental sculptures/artwork, grafitti removal, vehicle restoration, motorcycle frames, engine components, full vehicle body coating and filler removal, concrete plus much more. Because the process doesn't use heat, there is no danger of damaging your substrate due to heat friction. This makes the process ideal for aluminum and thinly layered materials. Vapour blasting cleans without removing any of the underlying metal or substrate. Dust is reduced by up to 92% less than traditional dry blasting and the process uses very little water. One common question we are asked regarding using moisture on carbon (mild steel) is flash rusting. To prevent flash rusting occurring while vapour blasting, we use a corrosion inhibitor that seals the bare substrate with a biodegradable, non-hazardous, non-chemical reside. This rust inhibitor will give you up to 72 hours of protection in a dry environment. We have a mobile vapour blaster and mobile compressor so we can blast at your premises, or we can collect your item and blast it at our depot. Check out the videos and photos below of work we have recently carried out.
